Thank you for your letter of 29 July. I note your emphasis but am all the more perplexed that you and your colleagues should be making such heavy weather of our requests. I'm afraid I feel no less aggrieved that the MCA should be seeking to waive my rights under the Code. I do think we have reached the end of the line on this one, so I have drafted a sample complaint (enclosed) which I hope will be referred to the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration.

In the meantime, I look forward to receiving your reply to my request of 29 June; thank you telling me I can expect to receive it within the next couple of weeks.
