Case AUTH/949/10/99: Advertisement for Detrisitol

We have now completed our consideration of the complaint which you made concerning the above advertisement issued by Pharmacia & Upjohn and I am writing to advise you as to the outcome.

I am enclosing a copy of the report which will be published in due course and from this you will see that Pharmacia & Upjohn was ruled in breach of Clause 7.2 of the Code of Practice. Pharmacia & Upjohn has given the requisite undertaking and assurance in acceptance of the ruling. The advertisement was last used on 8 January.

If you have any comments on the report, please let me have them by Monday, 31 January.
