I was on Ciprimal for eight months. When I first started taking it the side effects were really bad, I constantly felt sick and tried. I actually felt worse than I did when I first went to see my GP. But after two months of perserving I gradually began to feel better. After being on it for seven months I felt I was well enough to start taking control of my life again. I reduced the amount I was taking for 40mg to 20mg. I continued to take 20mg for approximately one month when I decided to stop taking it altogether. I started throwing up for no reason at all and the headaches were excruciating. At first I didn't think this was linked with the fact that I had stopped taking ciprimal as my GP had told me at the beginning that it was non-addictive. After feeling awful for about three weeks I looked on this web page and couldn't believe the similarities in the stories I was reading. Although I have been experiencing side effects I think they are relatively mild compared to what most people have experienced as I find them bearable - only just!! and although ciprimal helped me get through a really tough time, it took away all emotions. I now sometimes have really bad days but the fact I can laugh again and feel human again far out weighs any of the side effects I may be experiencing. And I would like to encourage anyone out there thats going through the same to perseve as it does get better!!
