I am a pharmacist so get to see how fast these SSRI's are walking out the door. I see people beginning on them every day but very rarely see or hear of people getting off them. I am currently undertaking my first attempt at getting off aropax and can now see why no-one wants to get off them. The withdrawal effects are horrendous and effect the MAJORITY of people. I feel at a loss as I desperately want to reach all GP's and warn them but I'm not sure how to go about it. I feel at a loss as I have to dispense these drugs all day with the knowledge of how terrible they are. I know that there are legitimate cases where these drugs must be prescribed but in my case it was a 'quick fix'. Cognitive Behavoural Therapy is the way to go. Does anyone out there have any ideas on how we can prevent more people from going through what I am going through?????
