After trying 5 SSRIs, 37.5mg of Effexor XR was perfect for me. Its been close to three years on it and I'm quiting it. For 2 months I've been splitting the capsule and taking only half. There is the occasional pulse convulsion in my left forearm or occasionally just thinking of my heart can change its its beat. For a week now I've been clean of it and the symptoms are the same. Therefore I suggest doing a gradual withdrawl by splitting capsules. Reducing the dosage by 33%-50% for as long as you are comfortable with it. Then do another 33-50% reduction on top of the first. At some point the complete stoppage won't be any harder. [email protected]
