Hi I am glad I found this site. I have had postnatal depression this summer and was prescribed 20 mg cipramil. I was very reluctant to take it but felt I had no choice as my depression was quite bad. After about 4 weeks of taking it I started to feel better and was able to go back to work. I had been taking the pills for nearly 4 months. 2 weeks ago I found out I was pregnant again, to my surprise. I went to see the doctor, not my usual one and she told me I should stop taking the cipramil. She never mentioned witdrawal symptoms and it never ocurred to me, but these past 2 weeks have been hard with extreme dizziness and now feeling very low and anxiety too. I saw my midwife yesterday and she suggested my dizziness might be due to withdrawal and what I have been reading so far sounds very familiar. I am angry the doctor did not warn me and I am also worried about the effect cipramil may have had on my baby, I am already 11 weeks... I will have to see my doctor as I think my PND is back, does anyone have any experience with antidepressants /PND during pregnancy ?
