ive been coming off citalopram for a year now. i have been taking them for nearly 6 years. a doctor put me on a repeat prescription, and the years of pill taking rolled by unchecked. im now down to taking a quarter of a 20mg tablet every other day. all i can say is its been really really hard going. its taken me a whole year to wean myself down to this stage. everytime i come down a 'step' i go through weeks of mood swings, dizziness, sickness, horrendous headaches, and a spaced out feeling.its horrible. at the same time your trying to carry on with life as normal!! sometimes i feel i'll never get there.
