Hi Vicki. You and your husband must realise that the depression and irrational mood swings are a very normal side effect experienced by many many people when they stop anti-depressive medication. how long have you been off the medication? I have been free of medication for 3 months but have been told by my therapist that i can expect the depression to last for some months more as it will still be in my stystem. This information has stopped me blaming myself for the terrible lows and made me focus more on how to cope with them when they do happen. Vicki, I can't tell you how to make these feelings go away but keep talking about it with your husband and with the people who really care for you. I have found that alot of my friends are almost sick of hearing that i am not well, so i have bitten the bullet and am going to a therapist reguarly. It is so good to have an objective view and have someone tell you that what you are feeling is okay. It is an expensive option, and while medication is certainly cheaper, there are generally no lasting negative side effects from talking...keep up the good work. b
