Ok, so I posted before, asking the best way to do it. I was down to 37.5 mg of Effexor XR, but it's been a week since I started to take 1/8 LESS of a capsule. I opened up the capsules, counted out the little granules, which averaged about 84, and divided by 8... so in each 37.5 mg capsule I take out 10 small granules. I wanted to do this as gradually as possible, as I hear that decreasing the dose by 1/4 still causes horrible side effects. Anyway, with the first 3-4 days, I felt a little bit of the withdrawal affects I have felt before, but not nearly as hellish, just a headache, slight nausea, but definitely doable and taking Bonine for motion sickness really helped with vertigo, which I really felt none, but honestly, I think that if everyone gradually decreases their dose by 1/8... you'll feel less effects. I'll go another week on this dose (I feel like normal again) and then decrease by another 1/8... and so on. Every two weeks, that's what my doctor said. I hope this works out and please no brain shocks. I haven't had them yet, like before, so I'm thinking this time it could actually work! :)
