Hi Amy, I have been on both drugs for about 5 months now for migraines, and have lost 45 lbs. I had no problems with effexor at all, but I took it and waited as the initial getting used to a new medicine stage was over I think a lot of people don't. I think the combination it wonderful, and my headaches have lessened conciderably. I take 300mg topamax @ night and 150mg effexor in the morning. I hope you do well.
