I have been taking Effexor XR for a little over a year. I started with 75 mg, but now have made it to 37.5 mg. I want to completely be off of this drug after reading all of these horror stories and also feeling several times withdrawal effects if I was on vacation and forgot my pills (talk about emergency calls to my doctor to prescribe me a few pills to last me the rest of the trip!) So if anyone has advice as the best way to do it... break each caplsule apart and decrease the amount by a quarter, how slowly should it be done, etc.? I heard that Bonine helps with the withdrawal effects. Would you recommend that or does Benadryl really work? Thanks, I hope I can get through this!
