No sure it's exactly a good thing to prescribe Cipramil to someone who already lacks energy/drive. I have been prescribed Cipramil for the last 7 months after a major nervous breakdown and a life-long depressive state. What I can say is that without therapy to back it up, Cipramil makes you apathic, in other words, no matter what happens around you, you couldn't care less, all you want to do is stay in bed and do nothing. I find Cipramil quite helpful, in the sense that I have had major anxiety attacks and a pathological restlessness, and Cipramil is the only medication that can help me to slow down a bit. I agree that the "weight on the shoulders" is a bit annoying, and depression doesn't clear straight away - but at least I stopped crying myself to sleep at night and breaking down at the office when the photocopy machine didn't work.
