Depression is an illness. Meds, such as Celexa, are not created to cure us all of our illness -- just help us. You can't cure diabetes, asthma, or other illnesses. But thankfully, we have meds that can help us. I try to view depression in this perspective. Just like any other medication for other illnesses, they "poop" out. They lose their effectiveness. And for some, they work forever. We are all different. I dislike reading posts, because each of our biological make-up is so different. I'm allergic to Paxil -- but that doesn't mean just because it didn't work for me, that my best friends shouldn't use it.

Please be patient. You'll find the right "recipe" to help with your depression. I'm still looking for the right "recipe". If I don't keep trying, I might as well have put a gun to my head many decades ago.

Do your OWN the medical research. I highly recommend taking these message boards with a grain of salt. Good luck with your meds and god bless. :)
