It's good to know that we are not alone! I started on Effexor XL last Autumn. I was on Seroxat the previous winter/spring for what is thought to be S.A.D; however last Autumn the Seroxat didn't work, in fact made me worse. My GP said he would like me off the Effexor at Easter, so I tried reducing to every other day over a week. Not good. The first obvious effect was nightmares, which I NEVER have. They started on day 1 as wierd dreams and got worse. Strangely, little or no terror though. My GP siad to carry on with the dose until after my holiday late June, but I feel worse if anything now. Reading some of the others' remarks, it begs the question whether good old Prozac would be better!!!
