I was on Effexor for about 17 months...when the dose was raised from 75 mg. to 150 mg. last December....I started to have trouble getting up in the morning....I couldn't get out of bed until close to 10 A.M.....used to get up about 7 A.M. Then I would have a nap in the afternoon for at least 2 hours....never used to nap at all before....also I gained 15 pounds over the last 8 months!!! Now Have been off the Effexor 4 days....sort of weepy yesterday & today. I have a new doctor...he took me off the Effexor last week....he said you don't need it for S.A.D. in the summer. I am dreading the withdrawal syptoms I am reading about here. Bobbie
