Anohter thing I might add is those inserts they give you with the drugs say NOTHING of withdrawal, the list a few side effects of taking the medication- your usual dizziness, nausea, sweating etc. Nothing extreme and in a low percentage of the people who take it. The doctors don't know a whole lot more than what the inserts tell them either, I don't much like my psychiatrist but I do know that he would not have given something like this to me without at least mentioning withdrawal symptoms had he known of any (yes...I KNOW I said I wanted to murder him yesterday...gone on a bit of a loop are we?). After all, he wanted me on it a couple of years, not the rest of my life.

Don't get me wrong, Im not saying they're horrible awful drugs- they're just horrible awful drugs for the wrong people. The doctors don't know how bad they can be so they hand them out like aspirin. In retrospect, I shouldn't have ever been on an antidepressant in the first place. I was depressed, yes, but I really don't believe there was anyhting chemical going on, just a kid who'd been dealt a shitty hand and made some lousy choices in reaction to it.

so to wrap that up, if anyone's doing wonderfully on this drug than I'm truly happy for you and to those of us trying to get off of it, good luck.
