I have been taking effexor for almost 3 years now. I have also tried getting off of this medication more than 6 differet times. On one particular time I was even hospitalized for one week due to the dizziness. I have gone back to my psychologist who recommended that I decrease my intake and go down from 250mg to 150mg then 75mg and then 37.5mg. She instructed me that once I got down to 37.5mg to take them for 10 days straight and then stop taking them completely. This was back in December 2002.....and still I can't get off! The dizziness is just unbearable that I can't even drive. I can't afford to be out of work too long....so I have to continue taking the medication. I wish someone out there could help me out and advise me on how to stop taking this horrendous medicine! HELP!!!
