after initial attempts to withdraw from efexor mr dose of 225mgs being very unsuccesful i am now having more luck with the help of a 37.5mg tab to split the dose & enable a more gradual reduction. initially (3 yrs ago) i was on 300mgs mr 7 have found the side effects so horrif that i deperately have wanted to reduce, but , being fearful of returning to a 'depression hell' i never envisaged withdrawal totally. not until the recent horror stories regarding seroxat when i began to look further into what i was putting into my body - & there is no real difference between the horrors of seroxat & those of effexor it would seem. i am hoping to be off this damn stuff by the end of july 2003 then perhaps i cann get my life, my slim figure, my sense of humour & my memory back!! joking apart though, the memory issue is one of great concern 7 i would value any thoughts on the long term effects of effexor after withdrawal.
