I have been off Effexor since March and I feel great. One thing that helped was starting on Prozac abt three weeks after I weaned myself down from 75 Ml. I would start having real bad withdrawells even when I was down to half od 37 if I didn't take it every other day. After I started taking the Prozac everything went away. I even went with out the Prozac for a week once and had no side effects or withdrawell symptoms. I have noticed big time that the constant Sinus problems I've been experiencing for the last 10 years (The amt of time I took Effexor) have disapeared to with the nasel allergy symptons I was also was having. I would have never guessed it was the Effexor. Sure Effexor did work for my anxiety, but it also messed with my short time memory also. I guess if you can't remember what your worring abt or stressing abt you won't be anxious. Anyway, I'm a little bit more hyper on Prozac, but it does take the edge of of my anxiety and I am getting by just fine. If I were someone else and had to do it all over again I would think twice abt starting Effexor unless you plan on taking it for the rest of your life and your insurance will pay for it or you can afford it, or there was another drug that I could take that doesn't have the same side effects or withdrawell symptoms.
